Hi, my name is Lisa Simmons and I've been photographing people and pets since the early 80's when I picked up my dads old 35mm and starting shooting for fun. Took some photo courses and did some part time photography working with a well known company at the time, shooting families, children and pets. From there I went to Cosmetology School and picked up a career in Beauty owning my own Salon for many years. Although I was doing well, I still had a strong desire to photograph. I enrolled myself in some graphic design, editing / Photography courses and started shooting the Race scene. I became obsessed with Dirt Tracks and Race cars, anything that was action. I ended that obsession when my baby girl was born.....she became my new obsession and object to photograph lol.
Shooting my daughter and her friends growing up was fun but not satisfying enough. I needed more. That's when I started shooting Boudoir. Just some friends and friends of friends but enough to earn a few more bucks and keep me busy.
The new century brought me back to Motorsports. Excitement again, I found myself shooting Mud Races, Mud Bogs and Dirty Women!! With their trucks that is.  Wrote and produced photos for a few different magazines, did some charity work and had a great time meeting new people and visiting new places.
That brings me to where I am today. During the Off-Season in the Motorsports genera , I was shooting Boudoir, Again. I find this niche to be the MOST gratifying especially in today's harsh world.  So many women posting on social media how they're depressed, how they don't feel worthy, they don't feel pretty?? Even the most beautiful women I meet have self doubts. Why? Advertising, Social Media...Vanity Fair, Vogue!!
I LOVE empowering women by bringing back their confidence by reminding them how sexy they are. I've seen women come into their photo shoot with doubts and half way through they're movin to the music and remembering what its like to feel the sexy....I see it in their faces and in their body movements and I'm sure......no, POSITIVE... they're taking that feeling out the door with them!!!!! When a women feels Confident and Sexy she can take on the world and whatever stands in her way, and that's what I LOOOVE most about what I do, simply reminding them of who they are.
